There‘s an app. for everything and now Giant Food Stores has created an application specifically for its pharmacy department. The Cumberland County chain says the new application will make it easier for its customers to manage prescriptions.
Giant has launched the Giant Pharmacy App. The new application will allow customers to request refills, transfer prescriptions and view prescription history. The application also features a health library.
So how do you begin?
The application can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Customers will need to create an account ID and password to sign into the application as well as provide a recent prescription number and the Giant pharmacy location it was filled when creating their account.
And customer safety is a concern for the grocery store chain. Customers will be contacted upon completion of registration at the phone number in their pharmacy profile to authenticate the account.
Giant says just like its changing the way it offers groceries to meet the ever changing ways that people shop, the pharmacy application will allow customers to manage their prescriptions with a few clicks on their phone.
“We understand the changing needs of our customers to shop for their groceries whenever and however they want; it’s the same when it comes to managing their prescriptions,” Leigh Shirley, director of pharmacy operations at Giant said in a press release. “Our new pharmacy app builds on our digital offerings and is a natural extension to help our busy customers request refills, transfer prescriptions and more with just a few simple clicks.”
